Underwriter Marine Global Risk

Your tasks:

• Independent, profit-oriented technical underwriting of risks of predefined Global Risk industry types / customer segments
• Risk and underwriting evaluation of new and existing clients within the scope of co-underwriting together with the decentralized branches and subsidiaries with subsequent underwriting decision and underwriting responsibility
• Conception and further development of the underwriting policy of the assigned Global Risk operation type, support of the decentralized units in Global Risk distribution
• Contact person worldwide for a specific operation type / customer group
• Significant cooperation in (if necessary also technical management of) a Practice Group
• Fundamental work on the industry type / customer group in question, in particular the ongoing updating of specialist knowledge and derivation of consequences and measures
• Conception and co-design of specific underwriting trainings (online and face-to-face events)
• Monitoring of large account pricing for eligible customer relationships
  
  

Your profile:

• Completed studies with a focus on business administration or law or completed training as an insurance underwriter and further training as an insurance specialist
• Experience in underwriting in marine insurance, especially industrial risks
• Competence in conducting talks and negotiations
• Sociability and ability to work in a team, ability to work under pressure even in time-critical situations
• Very good knowledge of the MS Office package (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
• Fluent in written and spoken English, other foreign languages welcome
• German language skills are an advantage, but not necessary
• Willingness to travel to European and non-European countries
