Your tasks:

To support Underwriting function by undertaking technical appraisal desk top reviews for Construction All Risk and Engineering All Risk line of business
To undertake global Risk Engineering Surveys of construction and engineering projects that HDI insure to ensure that suitable risk management practices and controls are applied effectively.
Clearly articulate risk improvement measures during the survey to Client/ Project Personnel.
Prepare technical, timely, accurate and concise risk control/underwriting reports for underwriters, co-insurers, brokers and policyholders as required, including risk measures made during the survey.
To undertake loss estimation calculations for Probable Maximum Loss scenarios
To provide technical training and support to external and internal clients
To participate in internal working groups and projects to develop and improve systems, processes, and technical knowledge

Your profile:

Completed university studies in civil or construction engineering (Msc.)
At least 5 years of professional experience on international construction sites
High level of expertise in the field of tunnel construction or tunnel boring machines
High level of communication and teamwork skills
Distinct analytical thinking as well as structured, efficient way of working
Strong customer orientation
English language skills in spoken and written (C1), knowledge of other languages (e.g. German or Italian) very welcome
High degree of willingness to travel internationally
