Senior Risk Engineer - Chemical

Your tasks:

Providing risk technical consultancy to a large and complex portfolio of property business in line with global guidelines.
Proactively manage the progress and completion of risk improvement actions and supporting client retention for all types of operations
Completing surveys, desktop reviews, advising customers and underwriters with regards risk engineering best practice andassessment of property risks in the underwriting and claims process with a focus on chemicals (e.g. petrochemicals, specialities and basic chemicals, as well as subsequent processing in pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, plastics, etc.)
Support in the management of the international risk engineering network
Calculating Loss estimates – PMLs for various scenarios including VCE, pool and jet fires
Creation and further development of safety-related concepts and protection standards
Independent implementation of training courses, guidelines and workshops (internally and externally)
Supervision of technical projects (internally and externally)

Your profile:

Completed university studies in engineering or natural sciences or similar qualification
Professional experience in an internationally operating company (preferably in the chemical industry)
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Analytical thinking as well as structured, efficient way of working
Strong customer orientation
Seize opportunities to innovate by applying market and customer insights
Good written and spoken English plus knowledge of another foreign language (e.g. German)
High willingness to travel internationally
