Your tasks:

Responsibility for the implementation of the marine underwriting strategy within Marine Global Risks
Development of coverage concepts in cooperation with our branch offices (co-underwriting)
Decision regarding pricing and scope of cover
Assumption of responsibility for the underwriting decision
Portfolio steering regarding Marine Global Risks Hubs based on defined key performance indicators
Implementation and maintenance of underwriting guidelines and standards (expert groups, audit, UW governance)
Promoting collaboration with related functions in home office as well as between the home office and branch offices
Supporting the training of underwriters

Your profile:

Completed training in insurance and finance and further training as an insurance specialist or completed studies with a focus on business administration or law
Experience in underwriting in marine insurance, especially industrial risks
Analytical skills and numerical reasoning
Strong communication skills in conducting talks and negotiations
Fluent in written and spoken English, other foreign languages welcome
Willingness to travel within and outside Europe
