Major Marine Claims

Your tasks:

• As part of the Major Marine Claims team, you will be responsible for the technical management and quality assurance of the worldwide handling of transport claims, for our major international clients in the automotive and pharmaceutical sectors.
• Your expertise will also help and support our underwriting and risk engineering teams by optimising existing client programs, assisting in the development of new programs and identifying loss-minimising measures for our clients.
• Your technical expertise will help you manage the claims within your portfolio while also providing our client with a high level of engagement to maintain and grow our customer relationships.
• Your abstract and critical thinking skills will assist in developing new projects for the HDI Global SE business at both a National and International level.

Your profile:

• Successful completion of a university level qualification in any insurance discipline, or related field: maritime, international business, logistics, industrial engineering or finance.
• A minimum of 5 years’ of commercial experience in insurance claims handling within an industrial insurance company and ideally in the transport/marine sectors.
• Familiarity with International Programmes.
• Working knowledge of maritime and transport law.
• A high level of proficiency with the English language (written and spoken). Spanish language skills would be highly desirable.
• Abstract and critical thinking skills with a track record of creative problem-solving
